    Hello Jose Luis,

    You can use any dataset you'd like to use, more specifically US data, it can be state, national, or by county, it doesn't matter. As long as it is something you're interested and solves/helps understand an a problem in agriculture. There are a few public agriculture datasets on data.gov. We are not providing any specific datasets because of this is a free for all hackathon, you can build whatever it is you'd like with your team as long as it is AgTech themed.

    During the event we will have a one hour session of AgTech entrepreneurs and farmers tell you about the different problems they are trying to solve or problems they have yet to solve. This will be the time where everyone who attends brainstorm ideas for their projects. Or if you already have an idea in mind, you can also just do that one.

    If you want to find out more on the itinerary checkout the agenda on the eventbrite page: www.herscripthacks17.eventbrite.com

    I hope this information helps,
    -Ana

    Thank you, Ana. In preparation for the hackathon, I found the following dataset on the California Open Data Portal website focused on Water;
